Innotek is an active European player in economic development projects in the field of incubation, innovation and enterprise. That’s how we safeguard the development of our knowledge and knowhow.

Slovenia spinoff project

Since 2008 Innotek has supported the development of spinoff companies in Slovenia.

This project is part of a cooperation program between Flanders and countries of Central and Eastern Europe to smooth the integration of new EU member states. University of Ljubljana has been scouting, scanning and coaching potential spinoffs based on Innotek’s model since early 2008. Forty or so ideas have been included in the process.

TIME project

Together with partners in France and the United Kingdom Innotek is searching for crossovers and opportunities for innovation in the economic, technological and ecological field.

TIME (Transforming Innovation for Maritime Economy) is focused on the maritime economy. The aim is to analyse three sectors, identify problem areas and provide remedies. At the same time, TIME wants to expose needs and develop solutions in partnership with research centres and other firms.

The project brings together three European Business and Innovation Centres (BICs). They will identify needs and opportunities, help conclude agreements and contribute to making a success of innovative projects.


TIME ends on 31 December 2011. The project is part of Interreg IV A “2 Seas” and is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

STROSMERG project

The STROSMERG project (STROng SMEs for Regional Growth) is focused on exchanging expertise and studying cooperation opportunities with a region in Croatia.

  • City of Koprivnica Croatia
  • Koprivnica Entrepreneur (incubator)


The primary purpose of the project is exchanging knowledge and knowhow, especially in the fields of marketing, promotion and management of business zones and incubator buildings. The aim is to attract both start-ups and local and foreign firms. Cooperation opportunities between businesses in Antwerp and firms in the Koprivnica region will also be studied. The project ends on 1 March 2010 and is financed by the Flanders – Central and Eastern Europe Programme.
